Jan 20 Recap
Wow! What a day of records!!
We had a record number of ladies attend the meeting...which also meant that we had record numbers in our MOPPETS. woohoo! (Not that it's all about numbers, but as I said before, it blesses us that each of you girls come back to the meetings.) It warms my heart each time that your faces walk through those double doors...the familiar ones that I can call by name and the new faces that I get to welcome. You girls make my day!
As promised, we'll have 8 tables set up next meeting, so remember to invite your friends.
A HUGE shout-out to each of you that helped in cleaning up (stacking a chair, clearing a table, rolling a table, etc)...in record time. It was done 20 minutes early because of all of the helping hands. THANK YOU!
Today's meeting was about Fear - the fear that grips us and doesn't want to let go. Mo Mydlo shared her testimony of how her early years of mothering were overcome with such fear that it occupied her mind 100%. Her life was changed when she met a friend that invited her to Bible Study and she found her "Prince of Peace" - Jesus! Mo's transparency with our group today is nothing short of a blessing. Thank you, Mo, for sharing your story.
I hope that each of you are realizing the fears that grip you and you are doing your best to turn to Jesus.
I'm looking forward to our next meeting on Feb. 3rd. See you there.

I read this today...and I thought of my MOPS moms
Check out Daring Young Mom's post, "TODAY I WAS A MOM"...too cute! I'm pretty sure that I won't be the only mom that has had at least of few of these occur. ;)
UPDATE: Daring Young Mom was excited that we are sharing her post on our blog...she was glad that we girls can identify with her. She does hope that she was only one that didn't get to shower, though. :)

January 6 Meeting Recap
Our 2009 is starting out strong!
-We had 11 new moms join us for their first time. We hope that you'll come back!
-Toy Box clean up started and finished by the time I blinked....you girls - "Blessed Beauties" - really know how to organize some toys!
-The topic was perspective and our Craft Ladies took care of keeping our eyes focused (at least while we're in the shower) on some positive thoughts and uplifting verses of Scripture.
-The DVD was neat with all of the questions and answers that were offered.....it gave me a lot to think about, for sure!
-Discussion Groups are a fantastic way for us to dig a little deeper into the topic on Perspective...I hope that you're still training yourself to see the bigger picture in the midst of the day to day.
Thank you to all of you that brought your items to MOPS for Nicole. She was so appreciative as she left the meeting. She didn't know that all of the stuff on the table was for her...way to knock her socks off, ladies!
