Meeting re-cap Jan. 5th!!

Happy New Year!!
We hope each and every one of you had a fabulous Holiday season! It is so good to start the new year off right with MOPS!! It was so great to get back and see all of you! If you didn't make it... WE MISSED YOU!!!!!

Baby News:
Pregnant: Jubilee
having a boy: Katie S.
Congrats gals and thanks for sharing!
Today's meeting started with an ice breaker of "heavy proportions!!" :o) We did a little contest to see who had the heaviest, lightest, most studded, most pocketed purses in the room! WOW... I am surprised we don't have more back and shoulder issues! I think the heaviest purse weighed in at 5.5 pounds and the lightest was 2.6 ounces!! Quite the extreme!

We were then honored to have Michelle Barnes from Wellspring Counseling center come and talk to us on TIME MANAGEMENT FOR REAL WOMEN!! It was so encouraging to hear someone talk to us "real woman" to "real woman". One that has been there, done that, and continues to manage that!!
She gave us a lot of practical how to's and many resources to use when it comes the managing our time for the glory of God and the sanity of our families.
She talked to us about setting goals. If you set goals for your "time", you will find it easier to be able to determine whether or not to say "yes" when asked to do things! It was also stressed that we do need to take care of ourselves first. Make sure we get enough sleep and work with our energy cycles. Take a day for just family!
Make lists for everything! This helps with organization and limits your stress level from forgetting thing!!
